HISTORY. Born to Amelia and Jason Saunders, McKenna's life started out normal and perfect. She had a loving home and wonderful parents but what started out great quickly came to an end. When McKenna was six years old her parents were taken by demons and forced to serve as their bodyguards leaving McKenna alone in the world. From there she was placed in various different foster homes but was quickly passed off to someone else. All the foster parents complained about how she was constantly starting fires and saying she didn’t do it. They called her a nuisance and said she was in desperate need of mental help. What they didn’t know was that McKenna was a firestarter who was just staring to learn how her powers worked. McKenna didn’t let the foster parent’s comments bring her down too bad. She knew she wasn’t like other kids she just couldn’t figure out what it was. Her parents must have known she was this way and if they were still around they’d love her unconditionally, at least that’s what she tells herself.

When McKenna was fourteen, an aunt she had no idea existed came to the forefront and took McKenna into her home. She knew what her niece was and she knew how to help her. She didn’t come sooner because she was off looking for her sister and brother in law but was so far not having any luck. With the help of her Aunt, McKenna was slowly learning about who she was and what she could do. She found that her powers were almost directly linked to her emotions and that there were forces that wanted her for that power. McKenna’s aunt decided it would be best to relocate her niece so the pair moved to San Francisco so McKenna could have a fresh start. Here she could go to school and live a somewhat normal life, while her aunt, who was a witch, could help hide her from those that would try and take her. McKenna is desperate to find her parents and is going to do all that she can to master her powers so she can save her parents. No matter what the cost.
