The Premise
"You are being watched. The government has a secret system - a machine - that spies on you every hour of every day. I know... because I built it. I designed the machine to detect acts of terror, but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people. People like you. Crimes the government considered irrelevant. They wouldn't act, so I decided I would. But I needed a partner, someone with the skills to intervene. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You'll never find us. But, victim or perpetrator, if your number's up, we'll find you."
-Harold Finch, Person of Interest title sequence
At first, the Machine delivered one Social Security number (or in one case, four connected ones) every so often. This was an acceptable arrangement for Harold Finch and John Reese, as, even when one was injured, they were still able to stop the crimes in progress. With the help of Detectives Fusco and Carter, they gained the information they needed for each case.
As Reese and Finch successfully intercepted more and more crimes, The Machine began pumping out more numbers, identifying more potential victims or perpetrators, as though growing more confident in its creator's skill. In turn, finding themselves overwhelmed, Finch and Reese decided to seek reinforcements - a team of people who, excepting their leader, would not have to know about the Machine, but would be willing to help solve cases.

Daemon: From Ancient Greek daimon, “a god, goddess, divine power, genius, guardian spirit," from daio, “to divide, to distribute destinies, to allot."
-transcribed from Wiktionary
The group of Daemons, as cofounder Jamison Cavanaugh refers to them, will track and solve cases assigned to them by Finch and Reese, while trying to keep their activities from being investigated by the authorities. They will protect ordinary citizens, who will have no knowledge of their acts, may never even know that their lives were saved. It is a thankless job - but one that could be rewarding to the right type of person.
What We Need
There are spots available for a very few Daemons. We're also looking for plenty of ordinary citizens - doctors, lawyers, waiters, gas-station attendants - anyone could be the Machine's next assignment. We are also happy to have more plot ideas and players wanting to portray original villains.
Interested? We're always open.
