The Hart book of shadows, has been passed down through the generations. It was started by Jane Hart, in the 1790's. A long time after the witch trial. She possessed the three powers of Hydrokinesis, Molecular Immobilization, and Premonitions. There was an age old story, that three sisters will be the most powerful witches of all time, they would make up this huge power called the "Power of Three." but once the Warren line of witches was cut short, the Power of Three had to pass itself down to another line of witches, The Harts.

Jane Hart and Paxton Warren, Paxton is from the most powerful line of witches, the power of three happened to skip over him when his brother was killed, and the fourth brother was was suppose to take his place was also killed. He made a vow that the power of three will take it self to the next three brothers, which happened to be, Charles, Henry and Nick. Each one possessed one of Jane Hart's power. It is said as they become more powerful, that each one will develop a new power, like Molecular Combustion, Pyrokinesis, and one will become an empath.
